Sioux Rapids Man Escapes Serious Injuries in Motorcycle / Deer Accident

Royal, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department says a 25 year old Sioux Rapids man struck a deer with his motorcycle Friday morning near Royal.
Erick Johnson was Westbound on 400th Street around 6am, made contact with the animal, and came to rest in the North ditch. He was transported to Spencer Hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Royal Fire and Rescue and Spencer Ambulance.
