Sioux City, IA — A Sioux City man with ties to Dickinson County has been convicted by a federal jury of drug crimes. 50 year old Jonathan Seff had previously been convicted of conspiracy to distribute methampetamine.
After three days of testimony he has now been found guilty of conspiracy to distribute, distribution near a school, and two counts of possession of controlled substances with the inent to distribute.
In January of this year the Dickinson County Sheriff’s department caught intruders in a West Okoboji home, meth, fentanyl, a hallucinogenic drug known as “molly”, and drug paraphernalia. Federal prosocutors say Seff was recorded on a prison phone line instructing the individuals to go to the home where he had been squatting and to “clean-up” the premises.
Seff remains in custody of the U.S. Marshal’s office pending sentencing. He faces up to life in prison and an 8 million dollar fine.
