Details Released in Sunday Crash Near Ruthven

Ruthven, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s department has released information about a one-vehicle accident North of Ruthven Sunday afternoon that sent the driver to the hospital.

31-year-old Dana Forry of Garner was in the 3 thousand mile of 330th Avenue when he says he swerved to miss an animal, entered the ditch, jumped a driveway, and rolled. He was able to exit the vehicle prior to authorities arriving and was transported to Spencer Hospital

The incident occurred around 2:30pm. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Department, Dickens Fire and Rescue, Ruthven Ambulance and Spencer Ambulance. Forry’s 2015 Kia Soul was listed as totaled.
