Okoboji, IA — Okoboji Summer Theatre has passed the halfway mark for the 2026 season with four productions down and three remaining.

Just before the season kicked off, George Bower got a tour of the living quarters behind the theatre with Michael Burke – the director of Productions and Operations.

The hammering you heard in the background was a new rubber roof going over the main stage, and that building also got a new air-conditioning unit this year.

This week’s production at O.S.T. is “Never Can Say Goodbye: The 70s Beehive Musical.” followed by “Our Town” and then the musical “9 to 5” will close out the year.
