Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Remember they want your real Christmas tree for the burning of the greens at Winter Games. The collection trailers are parked on Preservation Plaza in Arnolds Park and the Dickinson County fairgrounds in Spirit Lake.

Iowa Great Lakes Chamber Program Director Morgan Strauss says the schedule of events has been set, with registration already open for many of them including broomball.

As we reported last week, Okoboji Kites will be back after a year off. Organizer Steve Boote says the event is already larger than he imagined in 2019.

And remember the nomination period for Winter Games Cheerleaders is Wednesday with public voting next week.

The Winter Games are January 22-25, 2026.  Find out more information HERE
