Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Tuesday – the 11th Day of the 11th month – is a Federal Holiday.

The city of Estherville has informed KICD News that all city offices, the library, and transfer station will be closed. The regular Tuesday garbage and recycling pickup is taking place today.
And the City of Estherville’s Veterans Day ceremonies will be held at 11 o’clock – the 11th hour – at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center complete with music from the Iowa Lakes Community College Band and Chorus and key note address from Retired Master Sergeant Lorenzia Henderson who had a combined 32 years of service in the Marines, Army, and Army Reserve – including a combat tour in Iraq. The Iowa Lakes Veterans Center invites veterans and their guests to stay for a lunch.

City offices in Spencer will also be closed Tuesday.
