Tiger Boys Golf Edges out Cherokee for Final Lakes Conference Title

Okoboji, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Spirit Lake hosted the 2026 and final Lakes Conference Golf Tournament.

Taking first was Cherokee’s Caden Frederiksen with a 72, avoiding a massive 6-way tie at 74 for 2nd by a couple of strokes.

Here is how tiebreakers shook out in that 6-way tiebreaker. Reid Doring of Spencer was 2nd, Christian Vander Broek of Cherokee was 3rd, Trey Boettcher of Storm Lake finished 4th, Harrison Daniels took 5th for Spencer, and Foster Roos of Spencer was 7th.

In the Team Scores, Spencer won with 300, Cherokee took 2nd with 304, Storm Lake was 3rd with 311, Spirit Lake was 4th at 313, and Estherville Lincoln Central took 5th with a 330.
