Storm Lake Man Arrested After Violent Assault

Storm Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Storm Lake Police have a man in custody… accused of an early morning assault that left one person seriously hurt.

It was just after five Sunday morning when police were called to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center. A person there had a serious cut on their upper arm and told officers they were assaulted on North Ontario Street just after four a-m. The victim got away and went to the hospital to get help.

Police investigated and identified a suspect: 26-year-old Marco Salcedo Garcia of Storm Lake. He turned himself in on Monday and is now facing multiple charges.

Those charges include Assault Causing Serious Injury, which is a felony, as well as Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct. Salcedo Garcia was booked on a 10-thousand-300-dollar bond.
