Storm Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) – A tragic morning unfolded near Storm Lake, Iowa, as a fast-moving structure fire claimed the lives of several animals and heavily damaged two outbuildings on October 20, 2025.

The Storm Lake Fire Department was called to 731 550th St at 10:12 a.m. and arrived to find one outbuilding fully engulfed, with flames already spreading to a second structure. Alta Fire Department was called for mutual aid.
