Storm Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Several residents of a Storm Lake apartment building have been displaced because of a Thursday morning fire.
Fire Chief Terence Sinner says the Red Cross has helped them find alternate accommodations.

The fire department was dispatched to 504 West 8th Street around 10:30am. They arrived to find that a fire in Apartment D had burned itself out. They performed a walkthrough with thermal imaging cameras to confirm there was no lingering danger and turned the scene over to investigators.

Storm Lake Police also responded to the scene.
