Northwest IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — No injuries have been reported in Sunday night’s storm outbreak. Tornadoes and Thunderstorms moved through the KICD Broadcast area from Southwest to Northeast. Cherokee County Emergency Management Director Justin Pritts says the bulk of the damage, luckily, hit in rural areas.

And in Emmet County, Emergency Management Director Travis Sheridan says numerous farmsteads lost building or sustained damage.

Sheridan asks residents of Emmet County to submit their individual damage reports on the EMS Facebook page, or County government page. Buena Vista County Emergency Management Director Aimee Barrett and Dickinson County Emergency Management Director Mike Ehret say the bulk of damage in their communities was trees. Ehret says downed trees blocked some roads and the bike path in Dickinson County.
