Spirit Lake Claims Both Team Titles at Home Invite

Spirit Lake, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Spirit Lake hosted their Track and Field Invitational on Tuesday featuring several KICD 9-County Area Schools.

In the Boys High Jump, Elijah Graves of Okoboji won with a height of 6’2”.

For the Girls Long Jump, the winner was Spirit Lake’s Anabel Sinz with a leap of 17’0.5”.

Carson Storey of Okoboji was the winner in the Boys Long Jump at 20’10”.

Spirit Lake’s 800m Sprint Medley Relay team of Wells, Leupold, Sinz, and Petersen won with a time of 1:54.96.

In the Boys 800m Sprint Medley Relay, Okoboji’s team of Stein, Robinson, Wolf, and Wright won with a time of 1:36.26.

For the Girls 3000m Run, Silvia Kampbell of Storm Lake picked up the win with a time of 11:29.4.

Joel Ramirez-Parra of Storm Lake took 1st in the Boys 3200m Run with a time of 10:13.75.

In the Boys 4x800m Relay, Spencer’s team of Anderson, Rodriguez, Koppie, and Rustad won with a time of 8:26.88.

For the Girls 4x100m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Duvall, Sinz, Wassenaar, and Bolluyt won with a time of 1:08.31.

Okoboji’s Boys team of Graves, Jacobsen, Simington, and Paulsey won the 4x110m Shuttle Hurdle Relay with a time of 1:01.3.

In the Girls 1600m Distance Medley Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Duvall, Wells, Sinz, and Sinz won with a time of 4:21.58.

For the Girls 400m Dash, Addy Petersen of Spirit Lake was the winner with a time of 1:02.73.

Garbieno Weno of Storm Lake clocked 50.56 in the Boys 400m Dash to pick up the 1st place finish.

In the Girls 4x200m Relay, Spencer’s Lagunes, Iedema, Christensen, and Griffin combined for a time of 1:53.04 to win.

For the Boys 4x200m Relay, Spencer put together a team of VonEhwegen Buum, Timmer, and Rasmussen to win with a time of 1:32.87.

Leah Bolluyt of Spirit Lake won the Girls 100m Hurdles with a time of 15.13.

In the Boys 110m Hurdles, Caleb Swedin of GTRA won with a time of 14.93.

For the Girls 800m Run, it was Spirit Lake’s Marie Mueting running 2:26.32 for a first-place finish.

Carter Trautman of Spirit Lake ran 2:05.19 to win the Boys 800m Run.

In the Boys 200m Dash, Garbieno Weno won with a time of 21.8 seconds.

Elanor Sinz of Spirit Lake took the 400m Hurdles 1st place finish with a time of 1:07.3.

For the Girls 400m Hurdles, Elijah Graves won with a time of 55.42 seconds.

Silvia Kampbell of Storm Lake was the winner in the 1500m Run with a time of 5:13.24.

In the Girls 4x100m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Bolluyt, Sinz, Wells, and Leupold took 1st with a time of 49.41 seconds.

For the Girls 4x400m Relay, a time of 4:14.88 won the race for Spirit Lake’s Bruinsma, Trautman, Mueting, and Petersen.

The Spencer Boys took 1st in the 4x400m Relay with a team of Rasmussen, Timmer, Anderson, and VonEhwegen running 3:32.37.
