Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Spencer Hospital is launching a new pediatric sleep study program in November. This weekend on the Clay County Health Update on KICD, Mandy Fine, the hospital’s Director of Respiratory Therapy, says the new program is a major development for the area.

Fine says the service will save local families significant travel and long waits.

The announcement comes during Respiratory Therapy Month. Fine says sleep issues often have clear warning signs for both children and adults.

Fine encourages anyone experiencing those symptoms to speak with their healthcare provider about a possible sleep study. The Pediatric Sleep Study Program begins in November at Spencer Hospital, and you can find more information at their website.
