SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Spencer High School has crowned the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen.

During Tuesday night’s coronation at the Spencer High School Auditorium, Lucy Simington and Keegan Musser were crowned Homecoming Queen and King.

Clay County Fair Queen Maggie Moser also attended the event, singing the National Anthem during the coronation.

Simington tells KICD News she was grateful for the recognition and is looking forward to enjoying the rest of Homecoming week.

Musser says the honor made him reflect on the relationships he has built throughout high school.

Homecoming activities continue Thursday with boys and girls volleyball. Friday’s Homecoming parade begins at 1:30 p.m. at Spencer Middle School and proceeds to Spencer High School, with the Homecoming football game later that evening.
