SPENCER, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Spencer Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Sheriffa Jones has been named to the Iowa 500, a statewide list recognizing Iowa’s most influential leaders.

The Iowa 500 is an annual publication produced by the Corridor Business Journal and Quad Cities Regional Business Journal, highlighting influential business, economic development, and nonprofit leaders across the state.

Executive Editor Alexandra Olsen says the list was created to showcase Iowa’s leadership and connect business and community leaders statewide.

Sheriffa Jones was selected for her leadership in supporting local businesses, strengthening partnerships, and advancing community and economic development in Spencer and throughout Northwest Iowa.

Olsen says Jones stood out during the selection process because of her impact on the community.

Her work through the Spencer Chamber, Chamber Foundation, and the Clay County Long Term Recovery Group has focused on business growth, workforce development, and long-term community resilience.

Olsen adds that Iowa 500 honorees are leaders who go beyond their job titles and make a difference where they live and work.

In a statement, Jones says the recognition reflects the strength of Spencer’s business community and the partnerships that support continued growth.

The Iowa 500 is published annually by Corridor Media Group and is available in print.
