Milford, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) —  Grab your mittens and snow pants—the wait is finally over! Sledding is back!

The recent snowfall has created the perfect conditions at the Horseshoe Bend Sports Area in Milford. The big tubing hill officially opens for the season this Saturday and Sunday.

Dickinson County Community Relations Coordinator Amy Heibult says it’s time to get outside.

Passes are $15.00 per person—cash or check only—and that gets you a tube and access to the automated tow rope, so you don’t have to hike back up the hill.  There is a small hill for young ones, and a warming shelter for all to use.  If you bring your own sleds or tubes, it’s free.

Heibult says sledders can hit the slopes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days
