Ruthven Man Arrested on Felony Burglary and Hate Crime Charges

Ruthven, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A Ruthven man is facing felony and hate crime charges following a late-night arrest in Palo Alto County.

Deputies with the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Cayden Jay Clark around 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th. The arrest was made on a valid county warrant.

Clark faces charges of Third Degree Burglary, a Class D Felony, and Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief – Hate Crime, classified as an aggravated misdemeanor.

Authorities say Clark was unable to post a $7,500 cash-only bond and was booked into the Palo Alto County Jail.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the incident that led to the charges.
