Ruthven Firefighters Battle Early Morning Blaze on Center Street

Ruthven, IA (northwestiowanow.com) — The Ruthven Fire Department was called to a house fire early Monday morning.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. on December 15, crews responded to 1207 Center Street after reports that a home owned by 43-year-old Joshua Allen Roelofsen was on fire.

When firefighters arrived, the house was heavily engulfed in smoke, with flames visible from an upstairs window.

Authorities believe everyone inside was able to escape unharmed. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
