Sibley,IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — It appears yesterday’s PPEL issue in the Sibley-Ocheydan school district passed overwhelmingly. The extra dollar levy to be earmarked for Physical improvements and maintenance in the district received 650 yes votes and only 357 no votes – that’s a nearly 65 percent approval rate. The issue needed just a simple majority. Without renewal the levy would have lapsed at the end of the year.
