Pot Charges After False Burglary Call

Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department answered a burglary call at 5 Tuesday morning and wound up charging the caller with possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver.

They say when they arrived at the home of Todd Miller in the 27 hundred mile of 190th Avenue they smelled pot, obtained a search warrant, and then located that illegal drug, paraphernalia, and multiple firearms on the property.

They also say there were no signs of a burglary. Okoboji Police assisted at the scene.
