NWS Sioux Falls Offering Spring Storm Spotter Training

Sioux Falls, SD — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls is once again offering Skywarn Severe Weather Spotter Training sessions this spring. These classes are free, open to the public, and a great way to learn how to safely identify and report severe weather.

For the KICD listening area, one session will be held at the Milford Fire Department on Thursday, March 26th starting at 7 p.m.

Another session will take place in Sheldon at the Northwest Iowa Community College on Monday, March 30th at 7 p.m.

Online training sessions are also scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd at 1:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 21st at 6:00 p.m.

Severe Weather Awareness Week in Iowa is March 23rd through the 27th.
