Storm Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Storm Lake Police have released information about a violent incident at a Storm Lake apartment complex Wednesday night.

Storm Lake Police were called to East Milwaukee Avenue shortly before 10 p.m., where they found a female victim suffering from facial injuries. Officers say 30-year-old Colten Stroman, Sioux City, was intoxicated and had been arguing with the woman before allegedly threatening a male neighbor with a knife.

Authorities allege Stroman then forced his way back into the woman’s apartment and assaulted her while two children were present. The victim was taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center with broken facial bones.

Officers say Stroman resisted arrest at the scene but was eventually taken into custody. He faces a long list of charges, including First Degree Burglary, Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, and Child Endangerment.

Stroman is currently being held in the Buena Vista County Jail
