Sioux City, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Northwest Iowa has produced some exceptional leaders who make an impact on their communities, and now Morningside University announced their new President is Chad Benson, a 1986 graduate of Aurelia High School.. Benson was named the president of the university in Sioux City on March 18th, and had been serving as the interim president since June 2025.

Chad Benson is the 14th President of Morningside, and the third Iowan to lead the school.
