Sanborn, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — An early morning traffic stop near Sanborn on Saturday, May 30th landed a Milford man in jail on multiple charges. The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that a deputy stopped a 2017 Ford Escape for nonfunctioning taillights around 2:30 AM at the intersection of Highway 18 and Sorrel Avenue, about two miles east of Sanborn

. After discovering his driver’s license was suspended, the deputy arrested 44-year-old Travis Douglas Miner and transported him to the county jail in Primghar.

The situation escalated during booking when a jail officer searching Miner discovered a small, resealable baggie hidden inside his shoe. The baggie contained a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
