Iowa Supreme Court Selects Amy Moore to Oversee State’s Largest Judicial District

Des Moines, IA (Northestiowanow.com) — The Iowa Supreme Court has named Story County District Court Judge Amy Moore as the next Chief Judge of the second judicial district.
Moore has served in her current capacity since 2019 after working in private practice, as a federal trial attorney, and as a magistrate judge.

In her new duties she will oversee judicial officers and employees; manage both judicial and administrative business; set court schedules; and continue to preside over court cases.
Moore scueeds Gregg Rosenbladt, who will serve as Assistant Chief Judge after January.

The second judicial district is geographical the largest in Iowa covering twenty-two counties including Pocahontas County.
