Highway 18 Collision Near Boyden Claims One Life

Boyden, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Hull man was killed when his vehicle was struck by an oncoming motorist late Saturday night in Sioux County.
63 year old Brian Bouma was Westbound on Highway 18 2 miles west of Boyden near Jay Avenue around 11pm. 21 year old Enrique De Leon Martinez of Sioux Center was Eastbound, crossed the center line, and struck Bouma. Bouma was wearing a safety belt but pronounced dead at the scene. The Iowa State Patrol says Martinez was transported to the hospital in Sheldon by ambulance
