Ruthven, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The Lost Island Nature Center and Palo Alto County Conservation are hosting a Halloween Hike on Tuesday, October 21st.

Instead of spooks, lantern guides will introduce you to “conservation-minded characters” who’ll teach you about caring for the land at Lost Island-Huston Park.

Hikes are just $1 per person and depart every 10 minutes, starting at 6:30 p.m. The last group leaves at 8 p.m.

The 45-minute excursion wraps up with treats in the Nature Center basement.

Reservations are required; call the Lost Island Nature Center at 712-837-4866 to book your time slot.
