Graettinger, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The Graettinger-Terril Community School District has released an official statement on Facebook addressing some recent financial discrepancies.
According to the school board, an internal review uncovered issues in shared-service financial records between Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire dating back to fiscal year 2022.

To fix this, the district is bringing in a third party to review all shared transactions. They are also tightening internal controls and ramping up financial reporting to the board.

Officials noted that the district is already facing tight budget constraints due to rising expenses and falling enrollment, making financial accountability a top priority right now.

The board says they are committed to fixing the issues and keeping the community updated. If you have any questions, they ask that you reach out directly to a school board member.
