Fairmont, MN (Northwestiowanow.com) — The identity of a 43-year-old Fairmont man who died as the result of a house fire one week ago has been released.

It was Jared Donnelly. The Fairmont Sentinel newspaper reported over the weekend that his mother – Eileen – and brother – Ryan – also lived in the home but were not seriously injured. They quote a social media post attributed to a family member saying the tragedy comes just three years after the loss of Eileen’s husband, and the family is face with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up while grieving the loss of Jared and the memories tied to their home.

GoFundMe accounts have been set up for the Donnelly family, and also Alan Thune and Don Lasley who were renting spaces in the house and lost all of their possession.

An additional person remains hospitalized following the December 1st fire. Three police officers were treated for smoke inhalation.

The State Fire Marshal’s office is still investigating.
