HULL, IA (Northwestiowanow) — A St. Louis man was arrested late Wednesday night after authorities say he was driving a semi while impaired with a juvenile passenger in Hull.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer became stuck while attempting to enter a parking lot along Division Street near Greenway Street at about 11:20 p.m. on March 18.

Deputies say the driver, 34-year-old Meldin Mujanic, smelled of marijuana and showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. A marijuana joint was found during a probable cause search of the vehicle.

Authorities say Mujanic’s 14-year-old daughter was riding with him in the semi at the time.

Mujanic was taken into custody and charged with first offense operating while under the influence, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, and child endangerment.
