Spirit Lake, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department has charged a Texas man for allegedly stealing guns from a storage unit in West Okoboji.

Omaha Police arrested 37-year-old Iann Fletcher of Beaumont, Texas after they say he sold stolen firearms to an undercover informant. The stash included three shotguns, two pistols, and a .22 caliber rifle. Nebraska authorities say he then bragged about stealing the items in Iowa.

Fletcher was extradited back home to Texas where he also had a warrant for his arrest, was then extradited back to Nebraska, and was transported to Dickinson County where he was incarcerated Thursday.

The local charges are two counts of third-degree burglary.
