Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Fair has kicked off it’s “Plant for the Future” program. Brent Burns is the partnerships director for the organization.

Burns tells KICD News they are already replacing seventy trees that need to be removed because of pests, decay, or because they’re too close to infrastructure.

In addition to picnic tables and benches, other specific giving programs include: The “Light the Plaza” solar initiative, the 6 by 9 Memory Wall, and the Livestock Pen replacement program.
