Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Post-Mortum has already begun on the 2026 Clay County Fair. Greg Lear is in his last year as Board President.

Lear says you can’t control the weather, but thinks they did a good job controlling what they could.

Clay County Fair Chief Executive Officer Jason Brockshus says vendors reported strong spending.

Brockshus tells KICD News one goal is to announce entertainment earlier for the 2027 fair.

The 2027 Clay County Fair runs September 11th through the 19th.
