O’Brien County Results — (Northwestiownow.com) — No surprises in O’Brien County’s largest community.

Greg Geels was re-elected Mayor, Kevin Miller and Jeff Wagner elected to at-large positions and Tom Eggers was elected in Ward 2 without challengers.

There will be a new Mayor in Sanborn. Daniel Verrips defeated incumbent Randy Lyman 207 to 153.

There was a mayor’s race in Paullina where Marlin Sjaarda was handily re-elected over challenger Cain Junkman 200 votes to 48.

Roxanne Pottebaum and John Funkhouser defeated Mark Wilson and John Ihle for two council seats.
