Buena Vista County Election Results (Northwestiowanow.com) — We still don’t know who the new Mayor of Storm Lake is. There were no names on the ballot and 590 write-ins. They have not been made public.

For the two At-Large council positions in Storm Lake, incumbent Maggie Martinez got 502 votes and Richard Riner got 404. The third candidate was Dalton Walker with 393.

The new Mayor of Alta is Desi Suter, who defeated Jonathan Hansen. There was a crowded race for two council seats in Alta with Alyson Sievers and Laura Millard emerging as the top two vote-getters.

There were four candidates for 3 positions on the Lakeside council. The winners are Charlie Larson, Steve Brashears, and Diane Fulcher.

There were six candidates for the five spots on the Linn Grove city council. Eugene Johnson, Wade Withers, Steven Jessen, Jud Graesing, and Dennis Graesing made the cut.
