Milford, IA (KICD)– The Milford City Council met in a brief special session on Friday afternoon to accept the resignation of one of its members.

Andy Yungbluth was most recently elected to his seat on the council last November with the term scheduled to run through the end of 2025.

Mayor Steve Anderson tells KICD News the current plan is to fill the opening created by Yungbluth’s resignation through the appointment process.

Prior to stepping aside, Yunbluth had also been serving as Mayor Pro Tem with that title being filled by Councilman Chris Hinshaw.
