Spencer, IA (KICD)– Spencer Hospital is recognizing the third annual Hyperbaric Aware national campaign as we wrap up the month of May.

Jordan Achterhoff works in the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Department and says there are a number of instances that would make a patient a good candidate for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

What does a patient experience during a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatment?

A referral is needed from a patient’s primary care provider or surgeon to undergo this treatment, but any questions can also be directed to the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Therapy Department by calling 264-6392.
