Spirit Lake Man Taken to Hospital Following Crash Into River Embankment

Dickens, IA (KICD)– A Spirit Lake man was taken to hospital after reportedly crashing his vehicle northeast of Dickens early Thursday morning.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call around five o’clock of a suspicious person in the 3000 mile of County Road N-14 with an investigation determining the person in question had walked to the farm site after crashing his vehicle into a river embankment nearby.

The driver, identified as Michael Riesberg, was taken to Spencer Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
