Saxton’s Final Match Pin Lifts Emmetsburg over Spencer


Spencer, Ia (KICD) – Spencer, Western Christian, and Emmetsburg met for a Boys Wrestling Triangular in the Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

Emmetsburg and Western Christian hit the mat first.

The 66-6 win is Emmetsburg’s 8th Dual Win of the year. Spencer and Western Christian faced off next.

Spencer improved to 4-0 in Dual action with the 58-18 win against Western Christian. Next up was the rivalry showdown everyone was waiting for between Spencer and Emmetsburg.

Emmetsburg finished the night 2-0 with the 38-33 win with Spencer going 1-1 and Western Christian finishing 0-2.

Emmetsburg is now 9-0 overall in Duals and next up will be the Don Miller Invitational on Saturday in Fort Dodge.

Western Christian falls to 3-5 on the year and will also be at the Don Miller Invitational in Fort Dodge on Saturday.

Spencer picks up their first blemish of the season in Dual action as their record moves to 4-1. Next up for the Tigers is their home meet, The Austin Roberts Memorial on Saturday.
