Spencer, IA (KICD)– Regional transit provider RIDES has launched a new tool to help patrons utilize services.

Director of Operations Cindy Voss tells KICD News the new “R” mobile app is meant to be an additional option for locals looking to travel within the eight county service area.

Voss notes that the mobile app also adds a bit of a safety aspect for patrons.

Those that still prefer the “old fashioned” method of picking up the phone and booking their trip with RIDES can still do so with the mobile app adding some additional flexibility of scheduling for for busy times when it may not be possible to call during regular business hours.
