Edna, IA (KICD)– One person has died from injuries sustained in a Wednesday morning crash between a semi and tractor.

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened around 11:15 in the Lyon County community of Edna when a tanker truck driven by 82-year-old Dennis Hayenga of Little Rock attempted to pass a tractor operated by 77-year-old Myron Krull of Rock Rapids but ended up clipping the corner of an attached sprayer sending the tractor into the ditch.

Krull died at the scene. There are no reports of injuries to Hayenga.
