Jackson Man Escapes Serious Injury in Incident Involving Semi and Deer

Jackson, MN (KICD)– A Jackson man escaped serious injury in an incident on Friday involving a semi and a deer.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident occurred just before seven Friday morning on Highway 71 in the northern portion of Jackson County when the southbound semi collided with a deer before the animal was then thrown into an SUV driven by 63-year-old James Breland.

Breland was taken to Windom Hospital with are described as non-life threatening injuries.
