Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– Dickinson County’s multiple food pantries are continuing to see increased usage numbers.

Supervisor Kim Wermerson went through some of the numbers presented at a recent meeting of the Dickinson County Hunger Coalition.

Supervisor Steve Clark also gave some food for thought for those donating products asking that everyone consider what else may be needed to actually make items being given to local food pantries.

The Hunger Coalition is also working to develop new ways of making community members aware of what they do and showing that it is there to help those in a financial struggle.
