Estherville IA, (KICD)–The new Estherville pool opened with a splash last year and there’s no signs of that slowing down any time soon.

Aquatics Center Manager Jenny Nitchals says the usage numbers continue to rise as the summer season progresses.

Nitchals says additional planning is underway in preparation for the expectation of waves of extra people due to forecast heat later this week.

Nitchals has also started to get creative in finding new ways to draw new patrons to the Aquatic Center.

This is the first full season for the more than five-million-dollar Estherville pool facility after the opening was delayed by several weeks last year due to supply chain issues.
