Estherville, IA (KICD) — An elected official from Emmet County has tendered her resignation.

Auditor Amy Sathoff says she enjoys being part of well-organized team but needs to move closer to family.

The board of supervisors has accepted Sathoff’s written resignation, which now sets the clock in motion to fill the vacancy.

Filling the Auditor’s position will be on NEXT Tuesday’s agenda.

Sathoff has been in the Auditor’s office since 2011 and took over as Auditor in 2015. She says she’s willing to help her replacement learn the ropes, and will have the yearly reports wrapped up before she leaves next month.
