Pocahontas, IA (KICD)– Pocahontas is hoping to capitalize on a unique business that’s become something of a tourist attraction, bringing in busloads of visitors.

Chamber Director Parker Aden tells KICD News the kaleidoscopes for sale are wood, but the outdoor models would be metal.

The estimated cost for the project is 24 thousand dollars. Eight thousand was raised locally, and the state of Iowa recently awarded the rest in tourism grant money.
