Cherokee Hosts Cross Country Meet

Cherokee, Ia (KICD) – Cherokee hosted a Cross Country Meet on Tuesday.

In the Girls race, Unity Christian’s Katie Young won with a time of 19:40.79. Sioux Center would win the Girls race with 44 points, Cherokee took 4th with 115, Storm Lake 6th with 152, and Spirit Lake 8th with 204.

In the Boys Race, LeMars’ Trace Obbink won with a time of 16:25.23. Spirit Lake’s Brandon Hughes was 2nd with 16:46.96, Sheldon’s Caleb Huff took 4th with a time of 17:09.38, and Storm Lake’s Joe Ramirez-Parra was 5th with a time of 17:10.4. MOC-Floyd Valley would win the Boys race with 41 points, Spirit Lake took 3rd with 79, Sheldon 4th, Storm Lake 6th, and Cherokee 7th.
