Estherville, IA (KICD) — A two-term Estherville city councilman has tendered his resignation. Brandon Carlin says he’s bought a new house outside of city limits – making him ineligible to serve. He wants the public to know he’ll continue working in town and sending his kids to Estherville Lincoln Central schools.

Carlin’s last city council meeting will be May 15th. The rest of the Estherville city council voted to fill the At-Large vacancy by appointment to save the expense of a special election.
